Kanwar Grewal @ Bob Hope Theatre

Kanwar Grewal is a popular Punjabi Sufi singer whose spiritual music is steeped in Sufi devotion and spirituality. Respected equally for his powerful voice and for his renditions of Kalaam by Baba Bulleh Shah, Grewal has been a part of Punjabi Sufi music for so many years now. Some of his popular songs are Nachna Painda, Mast, Been, Faqeera, Takdi, Toomba Vajda, Akhan, Ranjhana Ve, Ticktan do lai lyi, Mastana Jogi and many more. All his songs have meaningful lyrics, which is loved by his fans.

He played an important role in the victory of the recent Farmer’s Protest in Delhi by spreading awareness to people through his songs like Faslan de Faisle, Paatshah etc. In April 2018, he got the “Certificate of Appreciation” for contribution to the Punjabi language from the Province of British Columbia and also won Punjabi Music Best Punjabi Award in 2020.
