Friends of the Fox: Classic Movie | It's a Mad Mad Mad World (Full Length)

A traffic accident and the ramblings of a dying thief launch a slapstick comedy film of epic proportions. It’s every man and woman for themselves as several strangers race across California to find $350,000 in stolen cash buried under “the Big W”.

“It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” stars Spencer Tracy as Captain Culpeper, with an all-star cast of comedians as the motorists hoping to find the money. Little do the motorists know, Culpeper has them all under surveillance, waiting for them to lead him to the money so he can finally close a case and retire. Their journeys are not without setbacks, and hilarity ensues.

Doors open at 1:00 PM. Dave Moreno plays a live concert at the “Mighty” Morton organ at 1:30 PM. Our master of ceremonies, Matías Bombal announces the movie at 2 PM. Please note we are screening the rfull length version of the film.

Friends of the Fox offer complimentary drinks and snacks, and a tour of the theatre after the film. Donations are greatly appreciated.

The Friends of the Fox is a volunteer, non-profit organization offering a monthly classic movie experience at the Bob Hope Fox Theatre. Founded in 1995, the Friends of the Fox supported the restoration of the Theatre through significant fundraising efforts. More than 25 years later, the organization continues to promote the Theatre as an integral part of the Stockton community and the “Crown Jewel” of downtown Stockton’s revitalization efforts.

Please note that the theatre will be using the following security procedures for all events.  Please plan accordingly. 

• All patrons are subject to search of person, including the use of a metal detectors. 

• Bags larger than 10" x 8" x 6” will not be permitted into the theatre, this includes backpacks, purses, and diaper bags.   

• Camera policy is set by the show, best practice suggests no cameras for events 

• No weapons of any kind will be permitted into the theatre 

• No outside food or beverage will be permitted into the theatre 

• We are a cashless facility! All points of sale within the venue are no longer accepting cash. Please be prepared to pay with your credit card, debit card or mobile pay. Thank you! 

• The theatre is a no smoking facility, there is no designated smoking area 

• The theatre has a no re-entry policy. 

We encourage you to plan accordingly for traffic in the City, parking and long lines when entering the theatre.
