Friends of the Fox: GHOST

Ghost is a 1990 American romantic fantasy thriller film directed by Jerry Zucker from a screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin, and starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Tony Goldwyn, Vincent Schiavelli and Rick Aviles.^[3] The plot centers on Sam Wheat (Swayze), a murdered banker whose ghost sets out to save his girlfriend, Molly Jensen (Moore) from the person who killed him - through the help of the psychic Oda Mae Brown (Goldberg).

Ghost was theatrically released on July 13, 1990, to commercial success, grossing $505 million against a budget of $22 million and emerging as the highest-grossing film of 1990 and at the time of its release, was the third-highest-grossing film of all time. The film received positive reviews from critics, with particular praise going towards the score and performances of the cast (particularly Goldberg's). Ghost earned five nominations at the 63rd Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Original Score, Best Film Editing, and winning Best Supporting Actress (for Goldberg) and Best Original Screenplay.

Please Note: The state of California requires all persons attending an event, including at the Bob Hope Theatre, to provide proof of full vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of the event start, home test kits are not accepted.  All persons 18 or older are required to provide proof of identity.  Unvaccinated persons must mask up, vaccinated persons are encouraged to wear a mask.  Persons not compliant with these state requirements will be denied entry.  This event and any scheduled event are subject to the existing state of California, County and City Health Mandates regarding venue capacity and safety protocols for implementation of safety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event in conformance with any health mandate in effect on the date of the event or for operational needs to safely comply with public health orders.

• All patrons are subject to search of person, including the use of a metal detectors. 

• Bags larger than 10" x 8" x 6” will not be permitted into the theatre, this includes backpacks, purses, and diaper bags.   

• Camera policy is set by the show, best practice suggests no cameras for events 

• No weapons of any kind will be permitted into the theatre 

• No outside food or beverage will be permitted into the theatre 

• We are a cashless facility! All points of sale within the venue are no longer accepting cash. Please be prepared to pay with your credit card, debit card or mobile pay. Thank you! 

• The theatre is a no smoking facility, there is no designated smoking area 

• The theatre has a no re-entry policy. 

We encourage you to plan accordingly for traffic in the City, parking and long lines when entering the theatre.
