Taste of San Joaquin

Annual Taste of San Joaquin brings BBQ teams, local restaurants, and thousands of visitors to Downtown Stockton every year since 2008.

The 6th Annual Taste of San Joaquin in 2013 will feature a wide variety of food at affordable prices, top-flight local entertainment, a BBQ Competition, kids' activities area, and wine and beer gardens.

In addition to live entertainment and excellent food, visitors will have the opportunity to meet some of the best BBQ competitors on the west coast. Taste hot off the grill: pork ribs, beef brisket, chicken, pork candy, loaded baked potatoes, and more. Many teams have sauce for sale and love to share grilling tips

Strollers, blankets or low chairs are welcome, tall chairs and coolers are not permitted. A dress code is strictly enforced to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all visitors. No cash inside, only official Taste vouchers are accepted for food and drink.

A seven piece band from Modesto that defies classification. Some of the descriptions include: new-age saloon, gypsy-rock, and old-world-jazzy-bluesy-floozy.

1:45p - 2:45p - Big Earl Matthiews and Poor House Millionaires
An acoustic trio comprised of long time Modesto musicians playing American roots music, Blues, Folk and Country

3:15p - 4:25p - Latin Magic Band
They specialize in energetic Cumbias, Oldies, Latin Rock, and Old School

4:45p - 6:00p - Lydia Pense and Cold Blood
They play their own specific brand of funk/soul and R&B which came to be known as East Bay Grease
