Bay Pointe Ballet Presents: The Nutcraker

Bruce Steivel’s classic Nutcracker returns this year with live music by Bay Pointe Ballet Orchestra, conducted by Derek Tam. Filled with adventure, audiences of all ages will enjoy Clara’s journey to the Land of the Sweets! 

Bay Pointe Ballet presents performances of Nutcracker annually at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, with additional regional touring dates. With custom-designed sets and costumes as well as Tchaikovsky's enchanting score, choreographer Bruce Steivel sets the stage of this treasured classic in St. Petersburg, Russia, where ambassadors and their families gather to celebrate the holidays. As the magic unfolds, you'll journey through the Snow Forest to the Land of the Sweets to celebrate Clara's victory over the dreaded Rat King — a treat for the entire family.
