The CCAA Baseball Tournament returns to Banner Island Ballparki n Stockton for the fourth time in five years!
The six-team double-elimination event will be held over a four-day period, from May 10-13, 2017. The top three teams in the final CCAA standings from each division will qualify for the tournament with the winner of the event earning the Conference’s Championship banner and automatic qualification for the NCAA Division II Baseball West Region Tournament.
Chico State won the event in 2016, the programs fourth overall Tournament title and first since 2006.
This season's CCAA Regular-Season Champion Chico State will play as the top overall seed, finishing CCAA play with a stellar 34-4 record. The Wildcats clinch a spot in the Conference's postseason event for the 17the time in tournament history. Also qualifying from the North were Stanislaus State (25-13) and Cal State Monterey Bay (2017). The No. 4 seeded Warriors make just their second appearance since 2009 , while the No. 5 seeded Otters travel to Stockton for the fourth time in five years.
Representing the South Division in this season's tournament are Cal Poly Pomona (27-11), clinching the No. 2 seed overall, No. 3 seeded UC San Diego (23-14) and No. 6 seeded Cal State LA (18-20).
First-round matchups will include cross-regional games between CSULA and CHICO, STAN and UCSD, as well as CSUMB and CPP.
