National Teams of USA and Colombia will face off in a special event at Stockton Arena

Stockton, California – Stockton Arena will once again be the host of an International Arena Soccer game on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 7:00pm featuring the National Arena Soccer Teams of USA and Colombia.

Stockton is no stranger when it comes to Arena Soccer as the California Cougars (also known as the Stockton Cougars) played at the Stockton Arena from 2005-2009 and won the PASL-Pro Championship in April of 2009. The team moved to Livermore, California soon after and dissolved in 2011. Current Team USA General Manager Bernie Lilavois was part of the Cougars as a player and then Head Coach in the 4 years (2005-2009) the team played at Stockton Arena.

“The last event we hosted at Stockton Arena this past June was a great game, the fan support was awesome and it was so good to see so many former Cougars fans there again”, said Bernie Lilavois. “So it was a no brainer to bring back another game. Soccer fans in will once again have this opportunity to watch great arena soccer action!”

Rosters for the game will be announced next week. Both USA and Colombia recently competed in the Delta Dental Arena Cup played at Centurylink Arena in Boise, Idaho this past August 17-18, 2018.  USA won the tournament with a win over Mexico in the final and Colombia finished in 3rd place after defeating Somalia.

Both USA and Colombia will be on a short California Tour that starts in Ontario, California on Friday September 14th and ends in Bakersfield, California on Sunday September 16th.

Tickets for the game, starting at $10, will go on sale the week of August 27th at the Stockton Arena Box Office or online at Special group ticket packages will also be available through the Stockton Arena’s office.
