STOCKTON – The 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Stockton Regional field was announced Monday night along with the rest of the NCAA tournament bracket, with the nation’s number three-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks earning the No. 1-seed in the region.
Joining South Carolina in the Stockton portion of the bracket are UNC Asheville, Arizona State, Michigan State, Marquette, Quinnipiac, Miami, Florida Gulf Coast, Missouri, South Florida, Florida State, Western Illinois, Creighton, Toledo, Oregon State and Long Beach State.
Five teams in the Stockton Regional are ranked in the latest A.P. poll, including No. 3 South Carolina, No. 8 Oregon St, No. 10 Florida St, No. 16 Miami, and No. 25 Missouri.
“We are excited to have our portion of the bracket announced and look forward to great basketball games at the Stockton Arena,” Visit Stockton CEO, Wes Rhea said. “We can’t wait for the Stockton Regional to get underway.”
Each team must win their first two-games to advance to the Stockton Regional, held March 25 & 27 at the Stockton Arena. Four teams will advance to the regional semifinals, set for 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 25, with the winners squaring off in the regional final at 6:00 p.m. March 27.

Fans can also purchase tickets at the Stockton Arena box office, open daily at 10 a.m. All-session tickets are available for $45.50. Single-session are also available and priced at $28.00.
The 2017 tournament marks the first-time Stockton has hosted an NCAA women’s basketball championship regional. The Stockton Regional will be co-hosted by Visit Stockton and the University of the Pacific.
